A spokesperson for Phoenix Cultural Centre CIC said ‘At last Woking is getting the venue it deserves, to serve not only the people who live here – but also, with our excellent transport links, those who live elsewhere and want to be able to easily access live music in a welcoming venue, knowing that they are also helping the local community and new musicians. Profits from any activity in the venue will be ploughed back in to supporting the community and making the venue more accessible.
‘We are so happy that these high-profile bands have come together to support the venue. We look forward to putting on many more excellent gigs and showcasing the talent we also have in our local scene.
