Applique quilt workshop

Like Kaffe Fassett, you too can be inspired by the beautiful and skilled textiles from the American Museum collection.
Teacher and Kaffe Fassett studio maker Janet Haigh, will be running an applique workshop to share the basics of this technique using a fun and modern approach to placement and colour.

You will need to bring
– a fabric backing
– some small sharp scissors and a regular pair,
– a range of needles and pins
– embroidery threads – greens and flowery colours!
– a camera or smart phone for taking photos, can be useful but not vital.

and possess an intermediate level of sewing skill.

Ticket includes some fabric, a light lunch and entrance to the Kaffe Fassett’s Quilts in America exhibition
