Speaker biography

Richard Darlington is a senior strategic communications specialist with more than a decade of experience developed working in three UK government departments, including DFID and two leading UK think tanks.

He has a deep understanding of the African context, having worked for several years across the continent. He has extensive experience of training, mentoring, coaching, strategic planning, media relations, digital and social media, campaigns, public affairs, events, stakeholder communications, senior management and budget holding. He has a deeply held commitment to equitable global economic development and is a passionate progressive internationalist.
