The Issues of Spice and a Device for its Detection!

The Issues of Spice and a Device for its Detection!

Posted on behalf of University of Bath

Do synthetic cannabinoids or "Spice" affect your profession?

The University of Bath have developed a prototype for the first device which can detect “Spice” in both saliva and drug samples.

We are holding a focus-group style event to share the research occurring in Bath and to learn about how “Spice” usage affects the local homeless and prison communities. We want to use this opportunity to hear your feedback regarding the device so that it’s development can be shaped to the needs of those potentially using it.

It is important to us that the device cannot be used for prosecution, and only for harm reduction and informed consent purposes.

This will be a free, informal event with free refreshments throughout.

We would love to hear your thoughts and hope you can attend!
