An Introduction to… Careers in Law

Dorset Chamber’s Young Chamber and Bournemouth University’s Schools Liaison Team have joined forces to provide An Introduction to Careers in Law for Year 9 – Year 13 students and their parents / guardians.

Attendees will hear from a range of speakers about the different academic routes to success as well as talks from business people working in the industry about their job roles and career paths.


Booking is via Eventbrite only with spaces allocated per person - please note if one student and one parent are attending, 2 tickets are required.

There will be a series of short talks and the opportunity to meet the speakers informally and ask questions. Talks will cover:

  • Post 16 training options

  • Post 18 training options

  • Different job roles in the Media

  • What’s needed to get started – personal skills

  • What’s needed to succeed – work skills

  • How to get ahead – tips for work experience

  • Q&A session / opportunity to chat with speakers in breakout rooms afterwards

  • Parents can find out how University fees work
