Stuart Semple & Bernadette Russell Talk Art for the People

Stuart Semple & Bernadette Russell Talk Art for the People

Posted on behalf of BEAF Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe Festival

Since 2008 Stuart Semple has been creating award winning public art around the world, using it as an action towards the greater public good and social change. The premise of this work is simple, to test the idea that art in public space could help to connect us and make us feel happier.

Bernadette Russell is also a big fan of taking action, seen in projects like Sign of the Times and in her performance and community social action work. Join them for this Sunday afternoon slot for debate, discussion and cake.

Stuart Semple is curating projects for for 2019 BEAF (Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe) Festival in the Boscombe Centre for Contemporary Art, the police box on Boscombe precinct.  His first project is with performer, writer and storyteller, Bernadette Russell.

The Toys are Revolting invites children and their families to think about the ways they'd change the world if they could.

The Toys are Revolting is part of a larger project “Sign of the Times” created by Bernadette Russell and Rob Kennedy based on Bernadette’s book “Be The Change Make It Happen.”
