Inconceivable: An Open Script Reading.

Inconceivable: An Open Script Reading.

Posted on behalf of LLoyd Shankey

An open script reading of my play Inconceivable. The plot follows Joseph, a man of family and science, determined to make sense of the inexplicable and create the impossible.

A focus will be on the state of the play in it's textual form, aswell as the audience's response to the plot. A range of comments would be very helpful, as I'd like to ensure it engages audiences from a range of backgrounds and proffesions. I'd like to remind the audience that this isn't a rehearsed reading, and is closer to a first time read through by a company of actors.

The Q&A will have a series of questions at the beginning, which will be provided to the audience. Should they wish to write their comments, instead of presenting them at the talk, that is absolutely fine. After this, the organiser will open up comments and questions to the audience, and it will close with any final comments from the actors.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

18 +. Strictly no children.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is free after 16:30. Valley Carpark is the closest space to the venue.

Is there food and drink at the venue?

The organiser will provide a self service food and drinks table, which will contain soft drinks and snacks.

Soft drinks are permisable in the auditorium, however food is not allowed.

Audience members are to consume the provided food and drink at their own discretion.

Am I expected to take part in the Q&A?

Absolutely not, however your comments would be incredibly appreciated; even if it's in paper form!

What will you do with my feedback?

Some feedback may be anonymously used in my exegesis. Therefore I ask that your feedback sheets be anonymous and without any identifying information.
