Phase 1 of the National Accreditation in Strength & Conditioning introduces fitness professional to the APEC system of training for strength and conditioning coaches.

Course Overview 

The course provides coaches with an elite level of education while supplying the tools to translate theory based strength and conditioning education into practical applications. Coaches will be provided with in-depth training knowledge that will give participants the same methodology and training techniques used at the elite level of sports.

Coaches will be exposed to strength, power speed, agility and movement preparation used by some of the worlds leading strength and conditioning experts. 

Course Modules 

 Athlete profiling

 Performance testing

 Movement Competency Analysis (MCQ)– screening

 Speed mechanics assessment

 Speed development for linear acceleration


 Advanced strength methodology

 Velocity Based Training (VBT)

 Science and application of hypertrophy

 Acute methods for strength and hypertrophy

 Advanced programming

Course Delivery

The S&C qualification is regarded as the industry standard for strength and conditioning practitioners. The accreditation in strength and conditioning is an NQF Vocational Qualification. Each module provides a comprehensive overview of the specific areas of strength & conditioning.

Once coaches have completed the course, they will be capable of working as part of a multidisciplinary team as a fully qualified strength and conditioning coach.
