The month of July has brought Joy to many of the people who use our service, here's just a few examples.
A letter received from a parent of a child who accessed our Play Therapy service:
"thankyou for working with X, you've given him a place where he feels confident and accepted for who he is. You have shown him that a small act of care can have in starting to turn his life around. We hope he takes this new found confidence forward with him."
A text received from someone who accessed our Adult counselling service:
"I feel I have come a long way since I started seeing you. I'm not in the same place at all. I am so grateful for your time, insightfulness and professionalism. You have had such a positive influence on me"
A client who struggles to manage "life" and benefited from the support the Community Support Worker was provided with intensive support to challenge and win a PIP tribunal. Advocating for those most vulnerable in our society is an important part of what we do.
All the work we do is provided by a wonderful team of staff and volunteers who commit their time to the residents of Dudley. A friendly face, a welcoming smile and a shoulder to lean on are never in short supply.
We also have some exciting development plans over the next 12 months as we look to demolish our existing building (an old pub on Salop Street) and build the new premises which will be known as The Lighthouse Centre (TLC). Our current services will be affected for a while so please contact us on 01384 239222 to speak to someone about what services you or anyone you know will be able to access.
