Qualitative Research Advice Clinic

Posted on behalf of Linda Dumchen

These advice clinics have been set up to help to respond to qualitative research related queries from within PenCLAHRC and the Institute for Health Research. Whether you are a postgraduate student, an academic or a researcher who has a query about any phase of a qualitative project from design to writing up, you can book an appointment to speak with someone from the University of Exeter Medical School with general expertise in qualitative research who can advise and signpost. The clinics consist of 30-minute appointments with up to two advisors. To gain the most from the clinic, please focus on questions about one or two specific elements of your study on which you would like advice. These sessions are not suitable for very broad or general questions about qualitative research.

The clinics will be held approximately once every six weeks.

Where and how long?

The clinics will take place in Room SC2.17 South Cloisters on St Luke's Campus and will consist of 30-minute appointments. To ensure that you have completed your booking please follow the booking process through to the end. You will need to go through the payment pages even though there is no charge. If you do not do so, your booking will not be confirmed and the slot will remain open for other attendees to book. Please ensure that you receive a confirmation email specifying the timeslot you have booked.

Unable to attend?

If you are unable to attend, please let Linda Dumchen (see contact page) know no later than 24 hours in advance so that someone on the waiting list can attend in your place.
