RiverRubbish is a project run by Forth Rivers Trust to show the impacts of Sewage Treatment works on rivers. This April we have organised one session already to collect the rubbish down from an outflow in Whitburn. We wish to go back on the 4th of May again to do the final cleanup and are looking for interested volunteers who wish to come along!

Forth Rivers Trust hopes dedicated volunteers will come out to help collect this (not very glamorous!) rubbish on this final outing in May so it may be quantified over the month how much rubbish has been released from the Waste Water Treatment Works. This is to show the impacts of a WwTW on the river environment.

After this last session we will organise community workshops to create fun and safe pieces of art from the rubbish we have found!

If you are interested in coming to the session pleaswe inform Amy of your intentions so she may give you further directions to the site! Her email is a.fergusson@forthriverstrust.org
