Can you spare a few hours on a Sunday or Tuesday? Between 10am and 1pm we will be carrying out important conservation work on Horsell Common. We will be removing scrub off the heathland before the birds begin nesting in March!

Booking for Tuesdays is required via email;; call or call; 01483 766189. The meeting place will be confirmed to you on booking. This is important for any cancellations due to weather or other events. If it is a different venue from the last Tuesday group a map will be sent to you.

Please bring your own drinking water but a hot drink and biscuits are provided.

Min Age is 16 years, DoE participants are welcome from 14 years but a parent/guardian must supervise.

Dates are subject to change and are weather dependent. email Rachel or call 07701366520 if the weather is wet to check for a cancellation.

Please bring plenty of warm and waterproof layers, gardening type gloves, insect repellent and always wear sturdy footwear.

I look forward to hearing from you and getting out on the Common for a fun and worthwhile morning.

Horsell Common Preservation Society (HCPS) own and manage areas of common land with public access including Horsell Common, Heather Farm, Pyrford Common, Littlewick Common, Woodham Common and various parcels of adjacent land. HCPS is a charity run by volunteer trustees who along with two employees Paul Rimmer - Estate Manager and Rachel Woodman - Senior Ranger are responsible for maintaining approximately 80% of Woking's open spaces, which provide vital environmental benefits for the Borough.

HCPS rely upon the time and efforts of public and corporate volunteers to assist with regular common land maintenance and for special projects including building of easy access paths.
