Essential Chaperone Briefing Sessions - 20 November 2019

Posted on behalf of Norfolk County Council Child Employment and Entertainment Team

Norfolk County Council Child Employment and Entertainment team have revised the application process for issuing Chaperone licences in Norfolk. Part of the application process now requires individuals to attend an Essential Chaperone Briefing session. On completion of this, and the successful process of an Enhanced DBS check, your Chaperone licence will be issued. Briefings are being held at various locations across Norfolk and last approximately 1 hour.

If you have a current Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last year, please bring this original document with you. If you do not have one, you can apply on-line at Alternatively we could arrange for this to be completed but you will need to bring 3 of the following 4 documents to the Briefing Session: -

  • Birth Certificate

  • Driving Licence

  • Marriage Certificate

  • Passport

If you only have two items from the list, any household utility bill, bank or credit card statement issued within the last 3 months, or a current year council tax bill, will be acceptable.

Please do not forget to bring along a completed Chaperone Application form and Questionnaire to the session, which can be accessed at:

If you have any questions regarding this paperwork there will be an opportunity to ask questions within the briefing sessions, or alternatively please email

Thank you and looking forward to meeting you.
