Supporting carers at work makes business sense. 1 in 9 in your workforce will be caring for someone who is older, disabled or seriously ill. In the current economic climate it is an important time to retain skilled workers rather than recruiting and retraining new staff.
Slough Carers Support, in partnership with Slough Borough Council, are on a mission to encourage and help the business community increase support for the town's 12,000+ carers. We want to promote the real and significant benefits of supporting carers in the workplace.
With short presentations from Carers UK and Slough Carers Support as well as Q & A with small and large employers (tbc) this free event (which includes lunch) will provide you with the resources and tools you need to take your first steps towards becoming a carer friendly employer and discovering how working with carers could work for you!
This event coincides with this year's Carers Rights Day. For further information, please contact Slough Carers Support by email at email@example.com or phone 01753 303428.
Booking (for catering purposes) is required, though employers can either just pop by or stay for the whole event.
Head on down to The Curve, Slough for Kirsty's private viewing for her first solo exhibiting since graduating in July 2018.
Kirsty’s exhibition reveals the transformative journey of modern buildings from start to finish. An impressive body of photographic work brings this journey to life with striking exterior and interior images showing modern and post-modern architecture. This exhibition inspires you to look at the buildings around us in a new light.
