Mindful Ceramics

Mindful Ceramics

Posted on behalf of The Owl And The Coconut

Join us to be guided through this two part creative clay workshop. In these two workshops we’ll take you through simple steps to make your very own Autumn inspired trinket holder.

Week 1: Using mindful meditation we’ll connect with nature by collecting leaves and using them to print into our air drying clay. Revealing the beauty of unique details of the shape and structure of each leaf.

Then we’ll mould and shape our clay into trinket dishes. Which make a beautiful handmade gift for a loved one or our selves to enjoy and treasure.

The clay will take about a week to dry so join us in week two to add splashes of colour and the finishing touches.

Week 2: Now our air drying clay trinket dishes have dried we will paint, sand and varnish. Adding the final touches of beautiful colour to highlight the natural beauty of the leaf prints. Ready for you to take away and enjoy.

  • All materials are provide. Including Yogi organic herbal teas.

  • No experience is needed.

  • This workshop is for adults.

  • It takes place at our beautiful wellness centre The Nest in Levenshulme Old Library.

  • You could just come to one workshop but we recommended that you attend both workshops to create your finished trinket dish. As the clay needs a week to dry.
