Would you like to be Glow Volunteer at RHS Garden Wisley

Glow Volunteer at RHS Garden Wisley

1st December- 3rd January

Glow at RHS Garden Wisley is the biggest event in the calendar. This year with more than 100 illuminated Jigantics floral lights it will be wonderful to explore a world of magical illuminations in the garden as dusk falls. We are looking for those who wish to engage with the public and show them along the beautiful lit route making sure they enjoy the atmosphere of the festive season. From sharing the story of the Christmas Display in The Glasshouse which is inspired by the poem ‘A visit from St Nicholas’ by Clement Clarke Moore with magical festive woodland glade with poinsettia trees, ferns and red flowering azaleas, to insuring safety and being on hand for any questions along the snowdrop avenue and floating water lilies on the lakes. This truly would be a magical experience to be involved in.

No previous experience is needed, but this role would be perfect if you are:

  • Looking to build your confidence.

  • Enthusiastic and open to talking to members of the public.

  • Interested in being part of a large scale, creative event.

  • Looking for a rewarding volunteer experience.

  • Looking to try something new and have some fun!

  • Any time from 1st December- 3rd January, with a minimum of two shifts.

  • There will be other volunteers and staff around for support.

  • You will have an opportunity to move around different areas of the garden during your shift.
