About The Woking Debates

The Woking Debates seek to encourage active participation in our community by looking at underlying issues facing us. Together we can find ways forward towards a more equal, peaceful and united world. Initiated by Woking Action for Peace, the debates are organised with the support of several local organisations: Churches Together, Friends of the Earth, LA21, Quakers, Surrey Faith Links, and Woking People of Faith.

Talks take place monthly in the Gallery at ChristChurch in the town centre on Saturday mornings, usually from January to April or May each year. There are usually two or three speakers on each topic but the discussion is always opened up to include the audience. Tea and coffee are available from 10.30 and the talks start at 11.00 and finish at 12.30.
